Peterborough Hospital’s ambitious £5.9m project involved intensive structural engineering consultation on the building of a new staff accommodation complex on site at the hospital.
In addition to hospital staff, occupants of the new building include medical students on placement from Anglia Ruskin University. The proximity afforded through living onsite ensures a deeper level of tuition and dedication to future healthcare. Therefore, attaining such proficient consultation on such a beneficial project as healthcare structural engineering was crucial.
To ensure the build commenced smoothly, our experienced, director-led team of Chartered Structural Engineers was consulted early on to ensure the effective inclusion of value added engineering expertise.
Avie was present throughout the project, from navigating the complexities of healthcare modular off site construction, which ensured fast turnaround and the ability for further development in the future.
We were also instrumental in attaining the exclusive and increasingly stringent healthcare building regulations approval, and were able to advise on the healthcare flood risk assessment.
