A flood Risk Assessment was required for Walton on the Naze Primary School in Essex. During the east coast flood event in 1953 the school was flooded.
The site is immediately behind modern flood defences. The risk was assessed and the client was advised on the different forms of flood resistant construction.
A flood management plan was also included to ensure safe escape routes from the site.
