AVIE CERTIFICATION

Under the Building (Scotland) Act 2003, a Certificate of Design confirming the building structure meets the requirements of the building regulations can be submitted with the Building warrant application.

The Certificate of Design is produced by an engineer who is registered as an Approved Certifier of Design (Building Structures) and covers all aspects of the building structure providing an overview of the entire structure irrespective of who has designed the individual elements. AVIE Consulting is registered as an Approved Body and Graham Helme is an Approved Certifier of Design.

AVIE have provided this service on many different projects including:

New houses, house extensions, house alterations, apartment alterations, new offices, overcladding and insulation of houses, a glass bottle warehouse, conversion of a listed stable block into a luxury wedding venue, adding solar panels to an office, and a security building at Glasgow Airport.
